John Papadakis - President and CEO

John Papadakis President & CEO

John is the President and CEO of Acronym and has responsibility for leading the company to great success. His expertise in telecommunications and high-tech spans more than 25 years, having led numerous companies through accelerated growth.

Prior to his appointment, John held senior executive positions with notable companies like Rogers, Avaya, Clearnet and Group Telecom. Through his unique breadth of experience he leverages extensive business, technical and operational knowledge to drive business growth and achieve marketplace leadership.

John holds a B.A.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario.

David Hurst - VP Sales and Marketing

David Hurst Vice President, Sales & Customer Service

David is responsible for sales and customer service at Acronym. With 30 years of telecommunications experience for wireless, satellite, fibre and internet technologies, and a consistent record of customer satisfaction above 90%, David guides the company in bringing value to new and existing customers in enterprise, wholesale and public sector market segments.

Robert Agostino

Robert Agostino Vice-President, Business Development

Robert leads business development initiatives for Acronym.  During Robert’s 24 year career, he has held positions in business and strategy development, account management, marketing, engineering and operations. He has worked with notable companies like Cisco Systems, Alcatel-Lucent, Bell Mobility and Group Telecom. Robert holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto. Robert is a licensed Professional Engineer and he is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario.

Mukul Sarin

Mukul Sarin Vice President of Finance, Regulatory & Carrier Services

Mukul leads the Finance, Regulatory, Planning, Compliance and Carrier Services groups for Acronym. He brings more than 15 years of Telecom experience to his role. During his 25 year career, he has held senior positions in Financial Reporting, Strategic Planning and Regulatory Compliance. He has worked with notable companies like Bell Canada & Sunlife Financial. Mukul is a CPA, CGA and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario.

Joe Parent

Joe Parent Vice President, Marketing & Product Management

Joe is responsible for leading Acronym’s Marketing and Product Management functions, including branding and the definition and execution of the company’s product roadmap. He has held senior leadership positions in marketing, product management, product development, new product introduction, sales and customer success with Unitel/AT&T Canada, Sprint Canada, Primus Telecommunications, Vonage and Reliance Home Comfort, among others. Joe holds an M.B.A. from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University and an H.B.A. in Economics from the University of Windsor.

Harrisankar Persaud

Harrisankar Persaud Vice-President, Network Operations and IT

As VP Network Operations and IT for Acronym, Harri is responsible for Incident and Change Management, second level support and field services. As well, he is accountable for all aspects of IT Engineering and Operations. During his 16 year career at Acronym, Harri has held various progressive management roles in Engineering and Operations. Amongst his many accomplishments is the development and implementation of the Acronym Converged Optical and IP Network known as COIN. Harri holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
